Galeria Virgílio offers itself as an alternative in the art market, geared toward the output of young contemporary artists and artists who have emerged chiefly since the 1980’s, who have consolidated their presence on the Brazilian art scene and have been defining the parameters for the new generation.

We conduct an intensive and systematic mapping of art produced by young artists, making their work visible and creating space for new experiments.

Thus it is the intention of Galeria Virgílio to provide the elements for the establishment of criteria that may guide the market in terms of its cultural outlook and the production of values.

We aim to provide such guidance as a result of acquiring works of art and forming collections, in addition to giving visibility to artists, accompanying their trajectories and providing support for the inclusion of their art in the institutional and market context.
